The Global EDI Developer/Analyst is a member of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team within the Global Information Technology department. In this role, you will develop the overall strategy for Methode’s electronic data interchange (EDI) program. You will also leverage your strong EDI background and act as an IT Representative with various business clients, both internal and external to Methode Electronics.  This role will facilitate and ensure that requirements and expectations are clearly understood and captured to produce effective, relevant and successful large-scale IT solutions.


  • Coordinate daily receipt, load and maintenance of all EDI feeds coming into the system as well as those produced by the system
  • Test, implement, administer, maintain, and upgrade EDI and EDI related software
  • Deploy web-based EDI portal for all vendors unable to use traditional EDI
  • Maintain up to date records of trading partners’ label and EDI specifications
  • Coordinate any special labeling requirements with the ERP team’s label developer and ensure Methode is compliant
  • Develop maps for trading partners based on their documented specifications utilizing the mapper tool within TLi
  • Review, create and maintain technical and business process documentation; including system flows, processes, procedures, data relationships, interfaces, functionality and operational requirements
  • Identify, recommend, develop and implement end-user training programs to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency; conduct end-user training
  • Support EDI including system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Manage projects related to the onboarding of new trading partners by Business Unit
  • Some travel to domestic and international locations may be required
  • Other duties as assigned

 Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 3+ years of direct EDI applications experience
  • SQL scripting knowledge 
  • TrustedLink iSeries experience preferred 
  • Experience with Epicor’s CMS ERP software a plus
  • Experience supporting a global, multi-location business preferred 
  • Javascript experience a plus
