  • Overview

    Dabir Surfaces, a division of Methode Electronics, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager within the assigned responsibility and territory to achieve the short-and long-range sales objectives including product introduction and market expansion.  To be successful in this role, you will discover new customers, work with others to facilitate growth in the market, and provide interactive communication with team members and customers.

     

    This role may be based in Denver CO, Phoenix AZ or Salt Lake City UT.

    Responsibilities

    • Travel to customer/potential customer facilities, providing information and support as required to secure business, including building/maintaining relationships with top executives within customer organizations to expedite growth
    • Develop and execute the sales territory coverage plan which defines the type of support required to meet/exceed territory sales goals
    • Responsibility for sales account management (tactical sales) to support the territory growth objectives
    • Evaluate territory performance and project growth in conjunction with the sales team
    • Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments to assist in achieving objectives
    • Assist in sales and sales representative training activities outside assigned territory as needed
    • Cooperate with Finance to assure collection of Accounts Receivable and obtaining appropriate documents to minimize risk
    • Assure territory sales activities comply with company policies and procedures
    • Recommend to the Company areas of future growth potential such as acquisitions, new market strategies, etc.
    • Assist in establishing sales objectives for territory in cooperation with management
    • Provide timely reporting of field activities and special reporting to assist in business and product planning
    • Participate in surgical procedures in support of customers training activities
    • Participate in the protocol development and execution of various clinical research studies
    • Provide timely, accurate forecast of sales by customer and product
    • Participate and occasionally manage trade show activity
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree
    • At least five (5) years’ experience selling medical devices into healthcare vertical  
    • Demonstrated success selling capital equipment into hospitals (Operating Room, ER, Wound Care and Acute Care)
    • Self-starter with strategic sales planning and project management skills
    • Value-added selling experience a must  
    • Demonstrated analytical skills
    • Technical knowledge of surgical procedures and Operating Room (OR) protocols
    • Able to clear vendor credentialing within the United States of America
    • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
    • Excellent presentation and customer interface skills
    • Salesforce experience preferred
    • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Concur and the Internet
    • Spanish bilingual a plus
